Story Jam: Your One-Stop Shop to Learn Storytelling

Whether you identify as a capital “S” Storyteller, or are a novice to the creative world, we are here to say that storytelling is for everyone! Here at Story Jam, we hold the belief that “identifying and sharing personal and cultural stories can help create a more compassionate, inclusive world.” First establishing our roots in 2018, Story Jam Studio opened to in person classes designed to serve the Chicago community. Following our mission to spread joy and develop community through storytelling, our school later transitioned to a fully online educational source, allowing students across the country to come together and create. At the Story Jam Studio, we are proud to offer a variety of classes and trainings to suite the needs of storytellers at all stages and spaces.

Classes and Workshops
Are you on the journey to finding your authentic voice as a storyteller? We gladly offer a wide variety of course covering personal narrative writing, performance, memoir, improv, and more! Our small class sizes allow for an abundance of personal attention facilitating your growth through writing, discussion, and a variety of exercises to really get those creative juices flowing!

Trainings
Differing from our class structure, trainings are held in a condensed time frame, with the goal to utilize storytelling to the organization’s advantage. Our trainings have served to strengthen corporations, schools, and organizations through the power of the personal narrative, DEI initiatives, and team building-all while have a blast doing it!

In addition to our phenomenal classes and trainings, Story Jam Studio is excited to announce our second personal narrative storytelling retreat will take place in October 2022.
